Overview:

This position is for 16 hours per week, but extra hours are usually available for different locations.

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. This position requires excellent observation skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities:
- Provide access control for incoming vehicles using gatehouse software.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to ensure the security of the premises
- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance and take appropriate action
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate locations
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and safety
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but we do offer comprehensive training for people new to the field.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, conflict management, loss prevention techniques, and surveillance systems is a plus
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment is desirable

Skills:
- Strong observation skills with the ability to quickly identify potential threats or risks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
