Summary
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for receiving and verifying shipments off the delivery trucks and placing them appropriately in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift and other product moving equipment safely.
  • Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Picking, inbound & outbound shipments.
  • Organizing work in storage facilities for easy access.
  • Inspect products for defects and damage and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Gather and prepare orders to be shipped out.
  • Pull Machines needed for set-up department.
  • Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Periodic cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy, responsible for inventory control.
  • Utilizing computer system to log activities and maintain proper inventory.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Operator certification
  • Careful attention to detail; careful attention to numbers
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Proficient with standard desktop software
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Performs well in a fast-paced environment and is able to move quicky from job to job
  • Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a warehouse facility where temperatures will reflect outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Saturday with a varying 5-day work week and Saturday availability is a must. 40-45 hours per week and overtime may be required during peak season. (March - June)
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $15 - $18 per hour
