Job Description:

Summary: As a Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the maintenance team in a manufacturing facility. You will ensure that all equipment, machinery, and facilities are properly maintained to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime. You will also be responsible for managing and implementing maintenance programs, schedules, and budgets, as well as providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and train a team of maintenance technicians in all aspects of equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, programs, and procedures to ensure optimal performance of production equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities based on production schedules and criticality of equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and patterns, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, and promote a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including cost control measures and procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends in manufacturing maintenance, and recommend and implement process improvements and best practices.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or pneumatic systems, and experience with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices, and experience in promoting a culture of safety.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
