Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Provide a variety of learning experiences through play, art, music, and movement
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities
- Familiarity with curriculum development and early intervention strategies
- Understanding of literacy education and early childhood literacy development
Skills:
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development
- Special education: Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with special needs in an inclusive classroom setting
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and organized learning environment that promotes positive behavior and engagement
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Childcare: Understanding of the unique needs of young children in a childcare setting, including health, safety, and hygiene practices
- Childhood development: Knowledge of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities for preschool-aged children
- Curriculum development: Ability to design engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards
- Lesson planning: Skill in creating lesson plans that incorporate various learning modalities and promote active participation
- Early intervention: Familiarity with early intervention strategies for identifying and addressing developmental delays or challenges
