When will you work?

• This position will work onsite in our Bakersfield, CA location.

What you’ll do:

• Compound non-sterile preparations under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Learn and maintain all systems for preparations and quality control of individual non-sterile preparations.
• Weighing out chemicals & ingredients in accordance with a compounding batch record.
• Perform and complete uniform blending of ingredients in accordance with formula instructions while meeting the quality requirements for the assigned dosage form.
• All individual preparations will be clearly identified by having a lot label and formula worksheet included with the preparation.
• Meet and maintain production goals set for the department.
• Provide regular feedback to the department Supervisor and team Leads on ways to improve systems for preparations, production, quality control, and safety.
• Follow all Wedgewood’s policies, procedures, and SOP’s.
• Support all facets of Wedgewood’s operations as necessary to ensure high quality customer service, safety, and effective workflow within the organization.
• While compounding, all staff must adhere to all safety guidelines including, yet not limited to wearing proper PPE.

Who you are:

• An individual with a disciplined mindset and great attention to detail, accuracy and precision
• Always show up (on time) with a positive, professional attitude. No exceptions!
• Able to stand up to 8 hours a day and routinely lift up to 49 lbs.

What you’ve done:

• Obtained a High School Diploma or GED
• Established strong basic math skills
• Obtained a Certified Pharmacy Technician license through the CA State Board of Pharmacy
• Worked in a fast-paced environment and followed specific instructions or procedures.
