The goal of the Aseptic Lead Technician is to produce the highest quality and consistency in sterile preparations. The lead technician also assists in maintaining productivity levels throughout the department by supporting and providing direction to team members. This position reports directly to the aseptic supervisor.

When will you work?

  • The hours for this position are 8:15 am - 5:15 pm.

What you’ll do:

  • Mentor newly hired aseptic compounding technicians after their training period for as long as needed.
  • Compound and package as necessary to meet business volume needs.
  • Assist in department SOP creation/revisions/implementation.
  • Assist other aseptic team members in meeting production demands, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Assist in workflow changes/assignments in the absence of management.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, lab coats, gloves, protective eyewear, masks, and chemical-specific PPE as defined by SOP.
  • Ensure aseptic compounding staff upholds the same adherence.
  • Provide regular feedback to supervisor on ways to improve systems and processes for aseptic productivity, quality control, and safety.
  • Follow all Wedgewood policies, procedures and SOP’s.

What you’ve done:

  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workflow, processes, and plans.
  • Display and accept accountability.
  • Excellent problem solving, analysis and communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to move with change while maintaining a Positive, Respectful, and Professional attitude
  • Ability to focus, concentrate and pay attention to detail with the highest level of accuracy, organization and precision are required.
  • Understands and reacts with a sense of urgency

Who you are:

  • 2 years of experience working as an aseptic compounding technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be registered with the state of California as a pharmacy technician.
