Wedbush Securities is Hiring a Corporate Actions Specialist (Temporary) Near Jersey, NJ

Job Description:

The Corporate Actions Announcement Capture role is a Temporary role that could go permanent. The person in this role is responsible for the daily capture and set up of all voluntary corporate action events for the assets managed by Wedbush Securities and its clients. The individual is responsible for the monitoring of announcements received from various custodians and presenting the data in a user-friendly format.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor deadlines and critical cut-offs to ensure announcements are updated and processed accordingly
  • Research and report on all aspects of corporate actions
  • Liaise with business partners to communicate details of events and associated elections
  • Mitigate potential risk and exposure inherent with the processing of corporate event
  • Monitor general ledger of firm accounts and daily break reports to ensure timely resolution of all reconciling items
  • Contribute to the growth and development of initiatives focused on creating a more efficient process while reducing risk
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in financial services operations
  • Must have corporate actions experience
  • Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Customer service orientated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional math and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and SQL required
  • String knowledge of all product types, including but not limited to, equities, fixed income, options, warrants and rights
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently while keeping focus on the group’s strategic initiatives
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Knowledge of Refinitiv Beta, FIS Phase 3 and DTCC websites

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$95,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
