Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic RN to join our Peri-operative team. As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra- operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.
In this role you will:
× Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situation
× Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients
× Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR
× Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care
× Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
× Keep the operating room sterilized
× Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols
× Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
Experience Requirements:
Must have: 1yr exp in OR; Circulating Nurse (will consider RNs with outpatient OR exp, Cath Lab RN, Endoscopy RN, Ortho OR RN exp) Required
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required
- BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required
- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required
- PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required
- CNOR preferred
On call: Oncall can be 4 hrs shifts, Overnight shifts and weekend shifts. The amount can vary from month to month in addition to regular shifts. Oncall Diff is 2.00 hourly. Differential for shift work when oncall is 25.00 hourly. Minimum of 2 hours paid.
Additional position details:
×The position is (3) 12/hr shifts variable Mon-Fri.
×The position requires oncall: A candidate that lives 30-45 minutes away for on call situations or has a plan in place to be present within the 30-45 window when called in.
×There are differentials for being oncall, Additional diff for working while on call, there is also a minimum pay amount when the RN is used less than 2 hours.
