This is an intermediate level position with the purpose of transacting day to day technical business given a competent knowledge of the work. Works on systems, deliverables and issues that are moderately complex and applies company policies and practices to develop solutions. Assists in systems planning, scheduling and implementation. Receives general instructions on routine work and more detailed instructions on new work.

Works to support the company's IT infrastructure and is involved in both design & engineering and operational activities. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to, LAN/WAN systems, telecommunications, voice/wire/RF/optical systems, server and desktop hardware, cyber security, mainframe, system software, storage management, applications, and databases. Design & engineering tasks include planning, evaluating, designing, and testing of systems in these functional areas, in addition to consulting, budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor analysis. Operational duties include implementing, configuring, testing, and debugging the systems in these functional areas, in addition to consulting, problem resolution, performance and monitoring, production control, and physical database design.

• Performs all the duties of an Associate Infrastructure Consultant acting independently.
• Provides leadership, technical support, training, and expertise to less experienced team members.
• Plans, designs, and engineers various device and system configurations requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
• Implements, operates and supports various devices and systems requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
• Manages projects consistent with other responsibilities within this JDQ.
• Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects. Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.
• Utilizes working knowledge of systems, equipment, and supporting applications to support the business and enterprise as a whole.
• Maintains key performance and process metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures, and systems.
• Effectively uses various forms of communication to successfully perform job duties.
• Builds productive working relationships internally and externally. Works with clients to gain familiarity with business processes and how technology acts as an enabler to those processes.
• Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage.
• Required to carry a pager for emergency response.
• May require travel to other locations.

Minimum 2-7 years infrastructure experience required.
