Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. Your main focus will be on assisting customers with their service needs, coordinating repairs, and maximizing sales opportunities. Duties: - Greet customers and provide them with a warm welcome to our service department - Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues - Conduct vehicle inspections and communicate findings to customers - Provide detailed estimates for repairs and maintenance services - Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs - Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs - Upsell additional services or recommended maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines - Process customer payments and handle cash transactions - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repairs, and invoices Experience: - Previous experience in automotive service writing or related field preferred - Knowledge of suspension, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, tire service, and general automotive maintenance - Strong sales and customer service skills - Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers - Proficient in cash handling procedures - Familiarity with auto service management software is a plus If you are a motivated individual with a passion for the automotive industry and providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you! Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
