Typical Duties:

• Lawn and grounds work, snow removal, building cleaning and maintenance
• Perform light painting duties as directed.
• Operate commercial mowing and grounds care equipment
• Operate small engine equipment (weed eater, sod cutter, etc.)
• Operate 4-WD pickup with plow, agricultural tractors and small backhoe
• Routine maintenance of equipment and other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-years landscape, agriculture, or horticulture work experience
• Possession of a valid Class *D* Operator's license issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at time of appointment.
• Ideal candidates will have sports turf and landscape maintenance experience along with additional skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance, etc.)
• Ability to follow direction, to solve problems and to complete work both independently and as a member of a team while being safe.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a clean driver’s license
• Requires ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.
