Position: Patient Services Representative (PSR)

Roles and Responsibilities

The call center PSR will consistently demonstrate exemplary customer service when assisting patients and guests personally and professionally. Responsible for welcoming patients, performing service driven check-in/check-out procedures maintaining highest attention to patient privacy. Our ideal candidate is highly energetic, motivated and enjoys working with people and the public! We need call center support as we manage a high volume of Dental office incoming calls. As a critical part of our team and patient experience, you will be responsible for the following: 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer phones with enthusiasm and excitement
  • Be accommodating and book our patients for their appointments or assist in answering any questions they have
  • Direct clinical calls to the patient's doctor
  • Work with Practice Managers and office teams to provide an exceptional patient experience
  • Assist with insurance verifications and breakdowns for new and existing patients
  • Provide a stellar patient experience!

Requirements

 Needed Skills/Qualities Attributes:

  • Dental experience a major plus
  • STRONG attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Dentrix/Revenuewell
  • Technology savvy
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple incoming calls
  • Follow up- when you say you're going to call someone back, you really do!
  • Ability to self manage and be self motivated- while you will work in an office among one of our dental teams, you'll need to make sure you can fulfill tasks to completion with minimal supervision

  •  H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  •  Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment and creativity when resolving patient issues
  •  Strong computer skills
  •  Highly organized with excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  •  Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  •  Previous experience in a dental/healthcare setting
  •  Working knowledge of medical terminology
