Weber Murphy Fox is Hiring a Construction Administrator Near State College, PA

Weber Murphy Fox is currently seeking an experienced Construction Administrator. This position is located in our State College Office and will work integrally with teams from all WMF locations. We desire a highly motivated candidate who works well in a fast-paced, team centered environment who will provide support on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities Include:

During the Design Phases of the project the Construction Administrator will:

  • Work with the architectural team to conduct document coordination and constructability reviews.
  • Provide cost estimation for projects at multiple stages of design using WMF cost estimation methods.

During the Bidding Phase of the project the Construction Administrator will:

  • Work with the project architect to review and interpret requirements of construction documents, monitor bid RFI's, and represent WMF at pre-bid meetings and bid openings.

During the Construction Phase of the project the Construction Administrator will:

  • Make recommendations and consult with the architect and owner on all concerns related to the project and give periodic reports of construction progress and project activities.
  • The Construction Administrator may be required to act as the firm’s representative with the owner during the CA Phase of the project.
  • Monitor closeout submittals, perform periodic construction site visits, and evaluate change orders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with design team including engineers.
  • Coordinate site walkthroughs and job site reporting.
  • Coordinate closeout period activities.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Competence and experience with estimating and budgeting
  • Capability to read blueprints and specs.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all phases of the construction process from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure with established deadlines.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, and experience or willing to learn how to work with Autodesk software.
  • Experience with eBuilder and Newforma software a plus!
