OVERVIEW:
Assists with all aspects of the front of theater house duties. However, primary responsibilities are to Box Office needs; ticket sales, resolving issues of ticket orders, balancing cash box, and being knowledgeable of events.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow procedures given by the box office coordinator to open and close box office.
Ticket seller during office and event hours.
Balance and maintain an accurate cash drawer, and be able to log cash sale deposits and record cash on daily report.
Answer phone inquiries on events and ticket orders, as well as returning calls to customers from voicemail messages.
Be knowledgeable of all events and useful information of the theater.
Be able to assist the box office coordinator in updating lobby and marquee of posters and pamphlets.
Maintain a clean work space.
Be able to communicate professionally with clients, guests, and other employees at the theater.
Usher and scan tickets.
Help the theater operations manager and box office coordinator with house managing tasks when needed.
Help in concession stand when necessary.
ABOUT YOU:
Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months cashier or similar experience preferred.
Knowledge: Knowledge of general ticket sales/events, knowledge of basic computer skills.
Abilities: Ability to work any shift or as needed (irregular hours based on events), weekends and some holidays. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions, ability to balance cash sales and deposits, ability to stay organized and problem solve while remaining friendly with patrons, ability to complete assignments within a given time frame.
