The Quality Systems Coordinator reviews and coordinates all quality systems areas, changes, operational sheets, quality process procedures, quality test procedures, quality procurement documents, quality manuals, and inspection analyses to ensure that the division’s and customer’s quality requirements are met on assigned products, programs, areas, and functions.

• Reviews and coordinates quality system documents and procedures in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer specific requirements (CSR’s). 
• Assists manufacturing departments in maintaining their control plans and work instructions in accordance with PFMEAs, process flows, quality system's procedures and customer requirements.
• Schedules and completes Internal Audits.
• Conducts supplier quality system audits according to ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements.
• Ensures IATF 16949 compliance with corrective actions, internal audits, document control, and record retention policies.
• Assists in identifying the root causes of a problems and instituting corrective action such as changes to operation sheets, generation of production change requests, installation of fixtures, changes in workstations, changes to inspection analyses and changes to process procedures.
• Interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including design engineering, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and all production and inspection personnel.
• Provides recommendations to improve procedures that apply to quality and other functions, such as configuration and operations functions. 
• Analyzes quality and production trends to prevent or reduce defects, determine root cause, and initiate actions to correct or prevent them.
• Interacts with other personnel as well as customer and supplier representatives on quality issues.
• Experience in operating CCM, gauges, computer software, Brinell Testing, surface testing, balancing machines, and related equipment.

Position Qualifications

• Ability to understand different types of parts.
• Should be proficient in blueprint reading, and with the use of micrometers and gauges.
• Should have the ability to problem solve. 
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards and systems.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Experience

• Quality experience in a manufacturing environment within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 systems is a plus.
