Weaver Child Development Center is Hiring a Teachers Near Canton, OH

Weaver Child Development Center is seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our community.

Periodically, Weaver CDC has positions open in both Preschool & Primary programs.If you have an interest in working in a Reggio-inspired learning environment planted in Christ, we encourage you to send your resume and a cover letter outlining your teaching philosophy to Miss Susie at miss.susie@weavercdc.org

Ideal candidates are professionals with an understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and committed to creating a dynamic learning environment that celebrates the unique, God-given interests & abilities of each child.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a Reggio-inspired or similar educational setting preferred.

· Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

· Strong commitment to professionalism which includes actively seeing opportunities for learning and reflection.

· Familiarity with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and digital resources preferred. Adaptability and a growth mindset in this area a must.

· Demonstrate a willingness to be guided and coached along the way, understanding that continuous improvement is essential to providing the best possible education for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

· Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.

· Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to create meaningful learning experiences that reflect the interests and inquiries of the students.

· Document and reflect upon students’ learning experiences through observations, and various forms of documentation.

· Ability to be flexible in planning, allowing for the curriculum to emerge as the students actively engage in the learning process.

· Ability to enhance curriculum to meet the grade-level standards in a ‘Reggio-inspired’ & creative way.

· Support students in developing social-emotional skills & problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
