We currently have openings for 2nd shift Freight Handler (1pm-9:30pm). Employees are responsible for loading and unloading trucks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Skills Required:

• Ability to read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in refrigerated environment, temperatures of 36°to 40° for duration of shift
• Move items manually or by using equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks and rider pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout shift
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe manner
• Follow USDA and FDA regulations
• Inspect shipments upon arrival and prior to departure
• Pick, Sort and organize goods for shipment
• Complete paperwork such as customer orders, BOL and SOP
• Load/Unload trucks, stage product and move goods throughout facilities with care
• Secure shipments to prevent shifting and ensuring the safety of goods during transportation
• Maintain clean work environment
• Communicate with other departments
• Guide truck drivers onto loading docks and handle dock equipment
• Assist in other areas as needed and performing duties as assigned
• Ability to travel between facilities to transfer loads as needed.
