The Role: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Managing Attorney plays a pivotal role in delivering legal support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and leadership to WEAVE’s legal team. The position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of WEAVE’s legal programs, including managing all aspects of an active boutique litigation practice. Duties include supervising department staff attorneys, legal staff, and volunteers, providing mentorship and education, ensuring proper management of client materials and files, and maintaining relationships with community partners, including participating in collaborative groups. The position is also responsible for ensuring grant-funded objectives are met, drafting periodic grant progress reports, assisting with new funding applications, and developing and implementing department budgets.

Leadership Team members share responsibility to execute organization wide objectives and directives and guide their implementation. Team members work together to actualize Board of Directors directives and objectives. Leadership Team members foster employee awareness of issues which impact the financial, organizational, political and/or professional stability of the agency, including its public image. All Leadership Team members model preeminent, inclusive, professional service standards for employees, clients, and community stakeholders. Where appropriate, Team members participate in coalitions and advisory groups aligned with their job functions.

The Managing Attorney maintains an awareness of strategic trends and issues in legal remedies impacting domestic violence/sexual assault survivors and serves as a resource to the Leadership Team in this area. 

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 per year.
