Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations using a company-provided vehicle. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to operate different types of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently drive assigned routes to deliver goods to customers
- Load and unload products onto the delivery vehicle
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays during the route
Experience:
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving vans, refrigerated trailers, forklifts, or tractor-trailers is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage
