The Global Quotation Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the global quotation process for internal quotes. This includes working with the sales teams to understand customer requirements, developing and pricing quotations, and managing the quotation process through to completion. The Global Quotation Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining quotation tools and processes and for providing training and support to sales and quoting teams.

OPERATIONS

Quotation Management: Develop and maintain a standardized internal quotation process to ensure efficiency and consistency. Collaborate with department heads and team leads to gather the necessary information and pricing data for quotations. Analyze product/service costs, market conditions, and competitive factors to determine pricing strategies. Manage and act as an escalation point to the global quotation team. Assist global quotation team with issues and facilitate with resolution. Conduct routine meetings with global quotation team to discuss and solve inefficiencies to ensure timely response.Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain a well-organized database of internal quotations, pricing models, and historical data. Ensure all quotations are accurately documented and archived for reference and audit purposes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development, to provide timely and accurate quotations that align with business objectives. Act as a liaison between departments to address any discrepancies or special requests related to quotations. Identify process improvement opportunities between platforms (JD Edwards, Salesforce,etc) and work with the different departments to build the interfaces. Provide support to Category Management team on collecting demand forecast.Pricing Strategy: Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive pricing strategies to make data-driven recommendations for pricing adjustments. Continuously assess the effectiveness of our pricing models and suggest improvements to enhance profitability.

Quality Control: Review and verify all quotations for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and pricing guidelines. Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in quotations. Develop and implement strategies to increase quotation efficiency and accurac.Use Quotes Data to Support Forecasting and Demand Planning: Leverage historical quotation data and pricing trends to support forecasting and demand planning efforts. Collaborate with the demand planning team to provide insights that contribute to accurate inventory management and production planning.Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to team members involved in the quotation process to ensure adherence to best practices and standard procedures.

COMMUNICATION Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and, where appropriate, external Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

Experience & Education

Minimum 5 years of experience in cost and material estimation, project management, or a similar role Minimum 3 years working in a customer-facing environment Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or a related field Minimum 2 years experience as a manager with direct report supervision responsibilities

PREFERRED Master's degree in engineering, finance, or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - REQUIRED Ability to create cost models that capture accurate information. Ability to develop and interpret complex reports from complex data sources. Ability to prepare timely, detailed, and accurate reports Ability to work as part of a team as well as self-motivated Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks & multiple priorities Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of customer order processing, pricing, and quoting processes Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Previous experience with pricing, sales contracts, and quotations Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively Proven ability to understand complex customer requirements and develop solutions Strong numerical and analytical skills

PREFERRED Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, and Logistics concepts Proficiency with JDE, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other ERP/CRM software systems.
