Weasler Engineering is Hiring a Demand Planner Near West, WI

Description

The Demand Planner facilitates the development and validation of the demand plan and controls the process of demand forecast data loads into the ERP system to ensure that the company meets future demand and on time delivery targets, while driving inventory days on hand reduction. The Demand Planners’ responsibilities include estimating future demand for our products, improve forecasting processes and analyzing forecast accuracy. The Demand Planner participates in the companies SIOP process and works closely with the master scheduler and the commercial team.

Requirements

• Responsible to administer and facilitate the monthly rolling demand plans and forecast files as part of the SIOP process and key input to the master scheduling process. 

• Develop effective sales forecasting models based on industry trends, inputs from sales and marketing and historical demand patterns. 

• Develop dashboards to provide key insights in demand patterns and forecast accuracy.

• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. 

• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts and pending sales orders. 

• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner. 

• Identify opportunities for inventory reduction.

• Supports plant safety rules and safety observation process.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Academic Degree is required, with an emphasis on Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management. 

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in demand planning and inventory management in an automotive or industrial manufacturing environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a team player – detail oriented 

• Ability to multi-task/prioritize. 

• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and demand planning tools.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications 

• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures 

• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
