Gift Shop Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Guest Relations

REPORTS TO: Gift Shop Supervisor

POSITION STATUS: FULL TIME

QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:

Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way

Smile and Greet. Name and Meet. Thank you and Goodbye

Responsible for the operations of the cash register (terminal) in an efficient and accurate manner.

Must be accurate in the receiving of money and giving change to customers.

Must be knowledgeable of register codes.

Must comply with guest relations and We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and money handling policies.

Attendants may be assigned to the Gift Shop as business dictates when assignments qualifications have been met.

Responsible for keeping the gift shop areas neat and clean

Must have strong communication and customer service skills

Pricing of retail items as needed

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.

Must be 21 or older.

ACCOUNTABLITY

Attendants are required to verify that credit card purchases, Hotel Room Charges, and Fortune Club Point transactions are redeemed correctly at the POS and that the patron’s identification matches the patrons’ club card. Exercise knowledge of all safety and health procedures as mandated by Federal and state law.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED

Must have Gift Shop experience

INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
