1. Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Medical Laboratory Science (formerly Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology), Biology, Microbiology, or other healthcare related field.
2. ASCP certification.
3. Minimum of three years of clinical laboratory experience in Microbiology.
4. Two to three years of experience with training/providing instruction within the clinical laboratory.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and training schedules to support a clinical laboratory training program.
6. Effective communication skills to clearly express complex concepts.
7. Demonstrated listening and observational skills to understand individual differences in learning styles and adapt instruction as needed for team members being trained.
