We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage the inventory for our warehouse. In this role, you will be required to maintain accurate inventory records, perform counts and minimize variances, monitor inventory levels, and monitor the movement of inventory.
To ensure success as an Inventory Control Specialist, you should be highly organized and have a high attention to detail.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Inventory Control Specialist Responsibilities:
· Monitor warehouse inventory and conduct daily cycle counts.
· Perform follow-up counts to ensure accuracy
· Verify product locations and resolve discrepancies.
· Assist with inventory analysis and quality issues.
· Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
· Keeps back order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
· Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
· Prepares requisitions, orders, and other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
· Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
· Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
Inventory Control Specialist Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· 1 years’ experience in inventory, distribution, and operational procedures.
· Experience with WMS or Inventory management software.
· RF experience.
· Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as cycle counting.
· Good analytical and mathematical abilities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
