Description

Primary Purpose:

Qualified and caring individual needed to provide clinical and family support to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities requiring behavior modification. Working with other key staff members to develop and implement service and behavioral plans for our younger individuals, the Childrens Intensive Behavioral Manager's primary purpose is to strengthen the family structure so that residential placement is avoided. Your goal is to help these individuals achieve the richest and fullest life possible.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage skills trainers and teachers to ensure quality programming.
  • Develop, manage, and update family behavior support plans (both short and long-term goals).
  • Meet with Parents and staff to ensure better knowledge and understanding of behavior.
  • Functional Behavioral Assessment and observation of the family structure.
  • Planning, development and expansion of programs in support of the VP initiatives.
  • Receive referrals from the Senior Program Directors of Children & Family Services, complete assessment on the child/adolescent and their family to determine needed services.
  • Report to the Senior Program Director of IFFS, the VP of Children & Family Services and the DDS Service Agency the status of the families served.
  • Meet, as needed, with the family therapist, behavioral therapist or any other consultant for the program.
  • Responsible to work in partnership on the implementation of IFSP.
  • Meet regularly with the Senior Program Director of IFFS and/or the VP of Children & Family Services for supervision.
  • Attend workshops and trainings with and without parents to support their in-home needs.
  • Work with Behavioral Consultants as needed.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the family resource library and family newsletter.
  • Research and coordinate benefits (state, federal, etc.) and other information for families.
  • Arrange for, and assure training, for any family on the caseload when applicable.
  • Serve as the principle liaison between the family support program and other resources working with families on assigned families.
  • Attend scheduled Children & Family Support staff meetings.
  • Submit written reports on a monthly basis and other reports as assigned.
  • Assist Senior Program Director in researching and preparing information, reports and surveys concerning the program, as well as FHHS training in conjunction with the VP of Children and Family Services.
  • Assist with other reasonably related duties, as needed, and as agreed upon with Senior Program Director/ VP of Children & Family Services.

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • Master's preferred or minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Services, Social Work, Special Education, or related field
  • 3 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families
  • Experience working in home services
  • Well-versed in Childrens Services with emphasis working with ASD
  • Implement ABA Methodology
  • Able to work independently in home services
  • Computer literacy and the ability to document electronically
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus!
  • Valid Drivers License with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
