Fee-for-Service/Part-Time Clinician
Outpatient Waltham and Watertown

Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hour for Fee for Service.
$30K-$32K for 20-hour Part-Time position.

Wayside is seeking Master's level Clinicians to provide collaborative outpatient clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families. We offer 2 employment options: Fee-for-Service position with a minimum of 10 clients per week or a Part-time 20 hour per week salaried position with an expected productivity of 14 billable hours per week. Either option can be combined with other work within the agency. At least 3 after-school/evening and/or weekend days are required. Daytime school-based counseling may be added as part of hours between September - June.
This is a hybrid position, with flexibility to meet with clients virtually and at our offices in Waltham or Watertown. All initial intakes are conducted in person.
What you will do:
  • Provide short term and ongoing individual, sibling, and family treatment as clinically indicated and in accordance with program specifications for youth between 2 and 20 years old.
  • Conduct intakes for new clients, assessing for medical necessity as indicated.
  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments, CANS and develop treatment plans according to program specifications.
  • Provide crisis intervention services with clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with family, schools, and other providers throughout treatment and make referrals to community supports as needed.
  • Serve as HUB for services such as therapeutic mentoring when needed.

  • Ability to highlight and validate strengths in young people and their families.
  • Respectful curiosity to learn from a person's lived experiences.
  • Committed to providing culturally informed treatment including understanding systemic racism and oppression and its impact on youth and families served.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through to complete tasks accordingly to timelines including notes within 48 hours of date of service.
  • Work within a recovery model framework emphasizing the person's journey not just their diagnosis.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical writing skills.
  • Competence with computer skills and comfort using an electronic health record (EHR) for clinical documentation.
  • Familiarity with evidenced-based modalities such as ARC, Motivational Interviewing, and others a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus experience providing services to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Non-licensed or license eligible clinicians encouraged to apply. Pay differentials for independent licensure and fluency in some languages other than English.
