Position Title: Engineer III
Position Type: Full-time – On Site
Position Location: Albany, GA Clearance: Secret (or ability to obtain Secret)Waypoint’s client has an immediate need for an Engineer III to provide engineering analysis, with the focus on mechanical and electrical systems, in support of PM AAAResponsibilities:
- Review, develop, and comment on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, technical review documents, engineering change documents)
- Review and recommend improvements to processes and procedures needed to address vehicle issues and identify technical risks
- Conduct technical analyses, and attend design and ECP reviews
- Witness the integration of hardware onto the platforms and the execution of tests, and review test plans and reports
- Develop Informational Briefs and provide results to the Government in time to support the schedule associated with each task.
- 4-6 years of experience
- Work with cross-functional Integrated Product Teams to achieve technical objectives
- Knowledge and experience with interpreting design/drawing formats per the ASME Y14 family
- Ability to communicate in writing (using Microsoft Office) and verbally, including development, review, and feedback on technical documentation (drawings, specifications, test reports, etc.)
- Knowledge of the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework OR experience in private (non-defense) industry product development processes that track from concept to realization
- Computer aided drafting modeling (particularly in PTC CREO) sufficient to open, review, and perform basic design studies is a definite plus
- Technical/engineering support to Equipment Specialists for execution of DLA-339s (knowledge of the -339 and overall DLA provisioning process; data rights)
- Technical/engineering support to Equipment Specialists for execution of PQDRs (knowledge of the PQDR process; data rights; root cause analysis)
- Represent the Program Office on site and provide the primary communication conduit for engineering issues related to the Depot PoP and IROAN of ACVs (manufacturing processes; plant operations; production quality)
- Experience with managing documents in Microsoft SharePoint.
- Certified Associate Program Management Professional (CAPM) or DAU Level 1 certification requirements in Program Management preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, focusing on mechanical, electrical, aerospace or another related field
