Wayne Tile is Hiring a Driver Near Wayne, NJ

Description

SUMMARY: Load, unload, and delivers supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials. As the last point of contact our customers have with Wayne Tile, they must always act in a professional, friendly and helpful manner. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position includes driving a Flatbed truck with a Moffett for residential and commercial jobsite deliveries.
  • Loads vehicle for delivery.
  • Contacts customers to notify of estimated delivery time. Leaves message and answers return calls to provide customers with excellent service.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
  • Delivers goods to clients.
  • Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Collects required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer.
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official. 
  • Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official.
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

· One to two years related experience or equivalent.

· Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods.

· Must have a valid drivers license

· Forklift certified.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Commitment to excellence and high standards

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing

priorities with enthusiasm

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read
    technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift /carry items less than 25 pounds/ up to 25 pounds/ up to 50 pounds/ more than 50 pounds 
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts 
  • Frequently exposure to outside weather conditions 
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Must have CDL license, ability to operate Moffett and Fork lift.
