Faculty (Rank to be Determined) - Clinical - Dept of Oncology

Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Faculty (Rank to be Determined) - Clinical - Dept of Oncology at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

• Participate in the teaching programs of the Department of Oncology, the Karmanos Cancer Institute, the School of Medicine, and the University.
• Conduct independent research in line with the goals of the Department of Oncology including maintaining a strong record of accomplishments and the ability to secure external funding that will provide salary support as Principal Investigator or Co- Principal Investigator and support research efforts and projects. Publish in peer-reviewed literature as first or co-author.
• Participate in service assignments of importance to the program the Department of Oncology, Karmanos Cancer Institute, the School of Medicine, and the University.

Unique duties:

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree required.
• Post-graduate training required.
• When applicable, board certification and ability to obtain a Michigan medical license.
• Evidence of scholarly productivity (i.e., external grant support and scholarly publications)
• Ability to provide quality instruction to a variety of students.
• Faculty rank commensurate with credentials.
