Wayne State College is Hiring an International and Cultural Programs Coordinator Near Wayne, NE

Nature of Work
Provide support to international student populations and facilitate a welcoming campus community in which all students are encouraged to share their individual cultural backgrounds and experiences with one another in a respectful manner; coordinate student programing; initiate and implement educational programs concerning issues centered around marginalized student communities; collaborate with Admissions to increase international students; and, serve as a retention specialist for underrepresented student populations.
Examples of Work Performed
  • Follow federal laws to ensure international student scholars are in complete compliance to maintain legal status.
  • Collaborate with Admissions to increase international student enrollment.
  • Collaborate with Director to actualize the WSC strategic goals to promote a campus community which provides meaningful access to all students, global engagement and cultural enrichment, and the recruitment/retention of international students and others who provide unique perspectives.
  • Serve as an advocate for international student concerns.
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing transition programs for international students and provide opportunities for them to share their culture and contribute to the enrichment of the WSC community.
  • Support faculty and staff initiatives aimed at integrating global and a variety of cultural experiences into teaching and learning.
  • Support academic advising for International students utilizing Wildcat Online and Wildcat360.
  • Responsible for evening and weekend international affairs programming and meetings with culture organizations.
  • Serve as advisor to cultural and international student organizations and clubs.
  • Coordinate the Wayne Community to friends of international students’ group.
  • Serve as Wayne State College Designated School Official (DSO).
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Salary Information
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive fringe benefit package. Annual salary range is $49,686-$62,107.
