Wayne-Sanderson Farms is Hiring a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner Near Danville, AR

PRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for creating, planning and scheduling maintenance work orders. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
  • Under minimal supervision, evaluate maintenance work order load and schedule work using planning software for daily, weekly or longer term to maximize efficiency and enhance productivity
  • Re-prioritize scheduled work in response to emergencies, availability of parts, and equipment to make efficient use of maintenance team member time
  • Participate in developing and updating predictive, preventative and condition-based maintenance programs and criteria for installed operational equipment; reviews criteria and participates in monitoring and evaluating effectiveness
  • Maintain data records and files of work performed, cost, etc for effective analysis
  • Develop and maintain backlog of ready work orders for mechanics
  • Generate and update equipment preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, adjusting as needed to meet changing conditions (i.e. run times, production schedules, etc)
  • Run and distribute monthly open item report verifying all open items are up to date
  • Create work orders (W/O) ensuring all required information (i.e. equipment numbers, maintenance classifications, budget item, shut down requirements, etc.) are accurate
  • Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned (i.e. back-up receptionist, mail distribution, etc.)
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Excellent verbal skills and ability to comprehend and effectively communicate in English required
  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills, with precise attention to detail
  • Demonstrated sound work ethic, high degree of personal integrity, honesty and moral character
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequently lifts 10-15 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work in a cold/wet and/or hot environment
  • Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
  • Frequently walks throughout facility
  • Frequently subject to extreme wet and cold, as well as hot and humid environments
  • May work around live and/or raw animal smells
