Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fleet Administrator/Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations, understanding OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing safety programs to create a safe work environment.
This is a part-time internship which will develop into a full time position. For the candidate with prior experience in Fleet Administration and Safety Coordination, a full time position would be offered. In this case, the rate of pay would be commensurate with experience.
Duties:
Coordinate all motor vehicle fleet operations
Maintain files on all fleet vehicles
Renew IFTA stickers annually
Complete monthly fuel and mileage reports
Complete and submit quarterly IFTA and HUT filings
Implement safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
Maintain safety records and documentation
Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations
Experience:
Previous experience in similar roles preferred but will train the right candidate
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
