WPS is a high-achieving west-suburban district of 2,800 students, with one preschool, three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Our diverse student body hails from Wayland and Boston and is composed of 32% students of color and 68% white students, with 15% of our students having a first language other than English. QUALIFICATIONS

Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprinting

Minimum

 Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree required: Educational Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Technology & Business Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of the technology environment of a K-12 school system, including networking, AV, and instructional hardware and software; classroom infrastructure planning and budgeting; and computer systems evaluation, implementation and integration.
  • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills in K-12 education supporting administrators, technology support staff, instructional technology staff, and the modern digital teacher and student.
  • At least three years experience in a technology-related leadership position within a public K-12 school system.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison and resource to the Superintendent and Administrative Council, setting the primary direction for integrating technology into the educational process.
  • Provide educational technology vision, including using digital literacy and AI to support UDL & Equity.
  • Oversee the Google Workspace for Education administration.
  • Support all Classroom Technologies
  • Support technology for MCAS, WIDA and various student assessments
  • Collaborate with Town IT on Networking, Virtual Environments & Infrastructure 
  • Collaborate with K-12 Curriculum Department Heads to support long-range instructional technology planning, purchases and professional development
  • Facilitate long-range instructional technology budgeting
  • Purchase and support software and hardware for K-12 classrooms (See lists below)
  • Supervise and coach instructional technology support staff, data manager, computer technicians and MAC systems technician

Software Responsibilities

  • State Reporting (SIMS, SCS, EPIMS, SSDR, MCAS, DESE)
  • PowerSchool Student Information System Implementation (New)
  • Vector Solutions, PowerSchool SchoolMessenger Communicate and SchoolMessenger Presence Website, Classlink
  • SDPC - Student Data Privacy Consortium
  • Purchasing, Licensing & Account Management
  • Classroom software, including Google Workspace for Education PLUS, Classlink, EdPuzzle, Screencastify, KAMI, Parlay, Padlet, and others

Hardware Responsibilities

  • MACs (JAMF/GSX), Chromebooks, iPads
  • AV/Viewsonic Interactive Flat Panels
  • Printers & Copiers
  • Food Service Computers

Terms of Employment:

  1. Twelve-month administrative contract ( 260 work days).
  2. Contract will include 25 days annual vacation days plus 13 paid holidays and will offer other benefits including health and life insurance.
