Wayland School District is Hiring a 24-25 Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Near Wayland, MA

The Wayland Public Schools is seeking a skilled BCBA to provide positive behavior consultation, evaluation, and intervention supports to building-based special education teams, general education teachers and administrators.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide consultation to classroom teachers, special educators and teaching assistants.
  • Communicate behavioral strategies to families as needed.
  • Complete comprehensive individual FBAs and behavior observations.
  • Develop and train staff members to implement Behavior Intervention Plans for individual students.
  • Consult with classroom teachers to develop classroom-wide management systems.
  • Provide training and support to staff related to the implementation of recommendations, including modeling of recommendations as appropriate.
  • Assist staff in creating visual systems for students as necessary.
  • Develop data collection systems for individuals and classrooms.
  • Provide training to teachers/teaching assistants for implementation of data systems
  • Graph, monitor and analyze data that is collected to inform efficay of intervention and next steps for student support.
  • Provide professional development and coaching opportunities for staff.
  • Participate in Team meetings
  • Develop IEP goals and objections.
  • Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.
  • Develop material, provide resources for, and provide professional development and training to district administrators, educators, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, and other related disabilities.
  • Work closely with administrators, related service providers, special education teachers, general education teachers, and teaching assistants to ensure that the programming needs of students are being met.

Qualifications: 

  • Licensed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Active DESE teaching license in special education or related field 
  • Experience working with students who have developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, or social-emotional/behavior disorders across all grade levels
  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Safety Care training preferred 
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
