Compensation:

  • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary

The clinical program manager of prevention services is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Families First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) evidence-based practices implementation. The manager oversees the program and completes administrative tasks such as planning and developing site goals and objectives, financial oversight, monitoring staffing and personnel issues, developing relationships with community partners, and supervising the performance of the group facilitators and trainers. In addition, the position is responsible for recruiting youth and families to participate in prevention services.

  • Develop and execute policies and procedures and a system of accountability that tracks the quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Develop relationships and contracts with community partners to increase referrals to the program.
  • Conducts outreach and engagement to recruit youth and families to participate in prevention services.
  • Provides training and supervision in evidence-based models to ensure fidelity to evidence-based practices while building a cohesive team and maintaining positive staff morale. 
  • Takes an active role in acquiring up-to-date knowledge on county-specific Comprehensive Prevention Plans (CPP) and the Families First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) implementation in California and develops programs aligned with the state plan.
  • Supports and supervises clinicians with service delivery, documentation, and client-related issues. 
  • Participates in statewide and county meetings with stakeholders and funders for prevention services.
  • Participate in data collection and review to evaluate individual and program success - set goals for improvement based on overall strategies and objectives. 
  • Participates in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attend external training workshops directed by management. 

Qualifications


  • At a minimum, must hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess licensure in a mental health discipline, as recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Meets Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology requirements for Clinical Supervision of board-registered associates in Marriage and Family Therapist Associates, Clinical Social Work, or Psychology, including completing board-approved Clinical Supervision training.
  • Certification in at least one of the ten evidence-based practices identified in the California Comprehensive Prevention Plan, preferably Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Healthy Families America (HFA), and/or Motivational Interviewing (MI). Additional certification as an evidence-based practice trainer is preferred.
  • Experience training and/or supervising others in clinical services is required.
  • The ability to learn and manage electronic health records is required.
  • Experience providing primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention services.
