Description

Business Analysts are responsible for supporting the organization through project management, supply chain solutions, strategic pricing, and driving continuous improvement efforts to increase competitiveness in the industry and reduce cost. The Business Analyst role will forecast market trends and provide concise pricing solutions. This role will allow you to work alongside sales and business development to work with some of the biggest shippers in the country, helping craft multi-million-dollar proposals. A significant element of this role will be identifying growth opportunities and developing pricing strategies for some of the largest truckload shippers in the country. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally throughout the organization, collaborating with senior leaders.

Requirements

• Forecast and review market trends including historical pricing data to design cost-maximization solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales, business development team, and Sr. leadership to drive continuous improvement and growth strategies.
• Analyze data to determine account profitability and formulate recommendations to improve margins and profitability, including price increases or adjustments.
• Create a competitive and winning pricing strategy and model.
• Manage incoming RFPs and develop bid packages and proposals.
• Manage and design transportation solutions and rates.
• Maintain total logistic cost management solutions including generating concise freight market benchmarking. 
• Monitor project progress through tracking, reporting, and problem resolution.
• Interpret, evaluate, and relate data points to develop integral projections and solutions. 
• Analyze RFI and RFQ responses. Benchmark rate information versus historical pricing and competition
• Create and iteratively improve processes that improve how we provide pricing to our customer 
• You will be asked to lead vital strategic discussions with the executive team and provide recommendations on pricing strategy

Education/Experience Requirement:

• 3-5 years of Transportation and logistics industry experience including carrier awareness.
• Bachelor’s Degree or applicable certifications in data analytics.
• Functional knowledge of market pricing strategies and forecasting industry data.
• Highly proficient in data analytics and Excel, SQL, and Access or other relational database concepts and Business Intelligence platforms. 
• Detail-oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to impact operations and lead change with collaboration. 
• Professionally perform duties with a sense of urgency and a positive attitude in a deadline-driven environment.
• Highly proficient in economics and supply chain concepts.
