Part Time

The Waupun Area School District has an opening for a part time Mental Health Coordinator for the 2023-24 school year. The position will be roughly 20 hours per week: Anticipated hours of position 8:00AM-4:30PM 2 days/week, 12PM-4PM 1 day/week. Preference given to candidates with a bachelors degree in an education related field, including school counseling, psychology, social work. Interested candidates should submit an application, cover letter, and letters of recommendation via WECAN.General S3 Mental Health Coordinator Duties:Collaboration with Counselors (school counselors and outside counselors)Refer Students/Families for servicesPoint of contact for mental health referralsMeet with parents (if needed) to complete referral paperworkSubmit paperwork directly to the providerManage the district-wide spreadsheet of student receiving servicesServe as district liaison between the district and outside agencies to get progress reports and maintain communicationUpdate S3 Provider Profile as neededEstablish communication/collaboration plan with school counselors in each buildingWho is seeing which kids, home issues, etc.How is contact with students/families being documented/sharedManage a small group intervention schedule with Church Health ServicesManage small group intervention schedule with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) SpecialistsPost updated MOU’s and licenses in the outside counseling area of each building at the beginning of each school yearAttend meetings with outside counselor agencies as neededAttend monthly Student Services Team meetingsGrant DocumentationLead Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Team MeetingsAnalyze Triple P pre/post surveys (submitted by Family Advocate)Recruit high school students (Key Club) for childcare during Triple P seminarsOrder food/refreshments for Triple P seminarsManage RR Wellness CenterCreate outside counselor schedule of Wellness Center useOrder needed supplies and set up once arrived if possibleNotify the appropriate staff when the Wellness Center is in need of maintenance or technology supportOrganize and tidy up as neededThe Waupun Area School District is a 4K-12 school district serving a population of 1900 students in South Central Wisconsin. Located conveniently on Hwy 151, Waupun is only 45 minutes north of Madison and 20 minutes south of Fond du Lac. WASD is home to four schools, including a charter school in Fox Lake.
