The Waupun Area School District is seeking a Learning Specialist Instructional & Implementation Coach for the 2024-25 school year. The Learning Specialist Coach serves primarily as a coach in the area of special education. As a part of the instructional coach role, the Learning Specialist Coach assists in the selection, implementation, monitoring, and coaching of special educational strategies and instructional models. Designing and leading professional development is a critical element of this position. This position is currently open for internal applicants to apply by 3/28/24.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with the Director of Student Services to create and maintain an inclusive instruction plan, while supporting both Learning Specialists and General Ed Teachers with implementation of team teaching for inclusive classes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Student Services and teams of educators to develop instructional models (including workshop model) for inclusive classrooms and special education courses.
• Collaborate with the Director of Teaching & Learning and Instructional Coaches to seamlessly enhance effective instructional practices between learning specialists and general education teachers.
• Collaborate with site and director intervention teams to support the growth of all students and educators, in an effort to close the achievement gap for students with IEPs/504 Plans.
• Coach individual and teams of educators, as a part of a focused plan, to improve instruction and student achievement of grade level standards and beyond.
• Assist with IEP and Section 504 Plan legal compliance monitoring.
