Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

Warehouse Supervisor Job Duties:

• Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
• Inventory text books in and out of the warehouse using CMMS
• Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
• Maintains record keeping using CMMS.
• Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
• Maintains inventory by using CMMS; reconciling variances; inputting data.
• Secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems.
• Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Maintains gasoline supplies, annual gas tank tests and records for State Fire Marshall.
• Prepare worksheets for next school years purchase and forward to appropriate department.
• Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements
• Except deliveries are accurate and undamaged.
• Must have a working knowledge of CMMS such as Tyler, School Dude, Destiny systems.

Salary: Per Contract
Additional Information: Two years prior supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center. * Must maintain valid drivers' license. * Experience and ability to drive both standard and automatic transmissions. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Ability to move heavy objects (up to 700 lbs.) with proper equipment. * Excellent communication skills.
