As the Design Engineer, you will help improve existing products, product development, technical support, and product launch support. Reporting to the Manager, Pilot, Prototyping & Test Services, you will work with New Product Development Engineers and CAD designers using a wide degree of creativity and latitude to achieve results.

You Will:
  • Design distinctive and new products.
  • Identify technologies that create value for our customers, build on our core strengths and enhance our competitive position.
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of new product concepts, perform finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics to optimize performance with consideration for manufacturing or purchasing.
  • Manage work load and priority to support multiple project schedules.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation for new products including detailed drawings, material specifications, performance requirements. Organize and document analysis results to build a library of intellectual property for future use in new product development.
  • Perform testing on development products.
  • Perform comparison testing between current and new or similar products to determine the possible advantages/disadvantages of one over the other.
  • Help with interdepartmental technical questions, document review and creation for related products.
You Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's Degree
