• The Buyer/Planner is responsible for the procurement/production planning and scheduling activities throughout the manufacturing process and all consignment locations, as well as ensuring purchased component availability to support sales and manufacturing RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Manages the daily production capacity planning and weekly order allocation scheduling, including order processing, change-order processing, and order pull-ins and orders push outs. • Performs consignment planning and processing and supports required inventories and audits. • Supports the annual physical inventory and cycle count processes. • Manages and reviews item master maintenance for manufactured items and purchased components. • Closely monitors key customer accounts to maintain inventory requirements. • Manages the blanket order process, working closely with Sourcing on supplier pricing as well as Sales on yearly forecasting. • Supports New Product Development, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and Sourcing activities as needed. • Supports Quality Assurance in the supplier MRB process, driving supplier corrective actions. • Work in collaboration with Engineering for ECN/ECO process changes. • Manage and support cost reduction efforts of 10% YOY EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing purchasing/materials function. • Supply chain management and process experience required. • Experience in manufacturing process procurement environment preferred. • Understanding/proficiency in MRP (QAD) systems and MS Office. • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks. • Experience in a team-based environment. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to move throughout the plant and office areas. • Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving within the work area. • Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks. • Other demands include but not limited to oral, written, and presentation/communication skills. *WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Works in an office environment • May have regular exposure to the plant floor. *As required by the Americans Disabilities Act (ADA) Watts is committed to equal employment opportunity.
