Responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding different parts and subassemblies to create components or products for stainless steel drains. Must be able to calculate extremely close tolerances to machine work. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES TIG Weld subassemblies and components. Lay out parts and subassemblies according to specifications. Inspect all welds for accuracy and complete repairs as needed. Fabricate and modify parts. Cleans and inspects equipment to maintain functionality; reports repairs as needed. Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School degree or equivalent. MANAGEMENT – no direct reports EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS One (1 ) year welding experience Able to accurately read a tape measure and conduct mathematical calculations and measurements for cutting accuracy. Ability to read blueprint instructions, welding symbols, diagrams, and other printed instructions. Familiar with a variety of welding concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong oral communication skills Ability to apply standard procedures according to operating policy ad adheres to safety protocols. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
