Staff Nurse II - 12HR - 0.9 (72 Hours per Pay Period); Night Shift (6:30pm – 7:00am) - Emergency Department

***$6.00/hour night shift differential***

Position Summary: Under the leadership of the ED Director, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, the Staff Nurse II is responsible and accountable for planning directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad nursing knowledge.

Education:

• As determined by California Board of Registered Nurses.

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 months (1040 actual hours worked) in an acute care hospital setting; 1 year preferred
• Completion of applicable Hospital and department specific RN competencies (within 3 months of hire/transfer).

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• State of California RN license. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS required.
• ACLS required prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment.

Other:

• Fluent in English. Spanish language skills desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Per diem

Pay: $65.12 - $87.05 per hour
