CSM Flooring, a full-service flooring company since 1977 with offices in Greensboro, Burlington, and Wilmington, North Carolina, is seeking a Business Development / Outside Sales Specialist to help expand and grow as we redefine standards of excellence for flooring clients in the markets we serve.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Business Development / Outside Sales Specialist will work to grow CSM Flooring’s business by developing high-touch relationships with home builders, commercial and general contractors, real estate agents, property managers, and the like throughout the Piedmont Triad, Burlington, and coastal Wilmington areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for driving growth for residential and commercial lines of business to achieve sales targets. Strategically develop plans of action for growth in underutilized markets/lines of business.
  • Network with stakeholders via industry events
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services as well as the floor-covering industry overall
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Use this information to make informed business decisions and contribute to developing marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations teams to ensure communication and alignment of business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the flooring industry.
  • A strong network of contacts in the flooring business, including Vendors, A&D Firms, and General Contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Salary: $65,000 - 125,000 per year, dependent on experience and proven track record of building a book of business.
