POSITION SUMMARY:

The System Engineer, Infrastructure Applications, provides admin functions and support for assigned technology areas and concerns (Microsoft 365 - Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Utilizes administrative console tools to maintain and monitor system performance and resource utilization of Microsoft resources. Provides end user support in a large multidomain and tenant environment. Uses admin console and tools to maintain accounts, update existing resources and creates/maintains existing ones.

Adapts and quickly assimilates new systems and network architectures as they are introduced within the company.

Develops and documents operational procedures for supported systems, including development of dialogs and user interfaces appropriate to the end user of the systems developed.

Provides 24/7 on-call support for supported systems during rotation within the team. Troubleshoots, coordinates with vendor, users and support, assists and advises in recovery on supported systems. Performs diagnosis of complex communication problems.

Provides administrative support for development systems, including requirements for maintaining the environment for program development, user account maintenance, and the logistics of software turnover and release distribution.

Performs technology evaluations. Develops technical diagrams that illustrate technical concepts, architectures, infrastructures, and strategies.

Documents IT support fixes and assists in end user documentation for self-diagnostic issue and fixes.

Ability to work independently from remote workspace at home

Regular and reliable attendance including ability to attend onsite work meetings with the Team at the LifePoint HSC.

Perform other duties as assigned

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit a [comprehensive] understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education:

Bachelor degree or equivalent level of education and experience

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT with 3 years in a technical support area

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with other technologies outside of the Microsoft ecosystem.
