HighPoint - Sumner Physicians Practice
Description
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
Reports to: Market Practice Manager
Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent X Required

Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Medical Assistant) X Preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from an American Heart Association Training Center required within 90 days of hire, if not current upon hire
