Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. As a Group Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating group sessions for individuals with substance use disorders. Your role will involve running group sessions while utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities and encouraging/fostering an environment that encourages client participation.
Duties:
- Lead and facilitate group sessions for individuals with substance use disorder.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for participants to share their experiences and emotions
- Develop and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to address specific needs of the group
- Provide individualized attention and support to participants, as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as case managers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for participants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of group facilitation
Requirements:
- Previous experience in leading group sessions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions
- A compassionate approach and desire to help make a difference in the lives of those struggling with substance use disorder.
