Description

Job Summary:

The Sales Associate will provide community relations, sales activities, and the results necessary to achieve and exceed the community’s sales and move-in goals, continuously maximizing occupancy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Positions the business partnership emphasizing that our residents will need and potentially be using their services. 
  • Identifies the key decision-makers and influencers in the local community to generate nonpaid referrals to the community. 
  • Interacts with others by developing and maintaining rapport, demonstrating compassion toward others. 
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships through mutually beneficial activities and events. 
  • Plans events that draw the professional unpaid referral sources to the community for a presentation and tour; manages the logistics, greets guests and provides tours when Community Relations Director is not available. 
  • Researches the sales history and ability of referral sources to determine the effectiveness of activities/events and modifies plan and tactics to optimize ROI. 
  • Develops a formal annual marketing plan and budget, in conjunction with the Executive Director and Regional Partner. 
  • Maintains in Yardi that CRM is accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of leads and referral sources/contacts in conjunction with Community Relations Director. 
  • Working with other staff, achieves benchmarks set for work plan, move-ins and maintenance of high occupancy throughout the community. 
  • Keeps updated records about relevant operational, competitive, and company information, to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts, and convey the competitive advantages of the community. 
  • Monitors local community information to gain market intelligence on the changing marketplace including potential new referral sources and competitors. 
  • Participates in local associations and groups with membership and agendas that impact senior care and directly tie into the professional referral community. 
  • Always maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Highschool degree/equivalent.

• College degree preferred.

• Previous sales/admission experience in senior living.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

• Able to stand or walk 75% of the day.

• Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.

• Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions.

• Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed:

• Subject to infectious diseases, substances, and odors.

• Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
