Watermark Baton Rouge, located beautiful downtown, is looking for a part-time House Person, who would report to the Director of Housekeeping and/or Housekeeping Supervisor. The Overnight House Person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, and all assigned areas. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guest rooms (luggage, irons, coffee, etc.).

The physical requirements for this position are heavy. The House Person would need to be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force at time and is required to frequently exert up to 50 pounds of force.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Some of the essential functions of the position include:

• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming when working.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Use daily checklist to complete specific housekeeping projects.
• Be familiar with correct guest room cleaning procedures to assist with cleaning if needed.
• Pick up any Room Attendant's dirty linen or trash as needed. Deliver any clean linen to assigned sections as applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the linen rooms, storage closets and stairwells.
• Collect all trash from the service landings and dispose of in accordance to hotel procedures.
