Position:
Business, Marketing & Finance Education Teacher – (FTE 1.0)
Location:
Mott High School
Minimum Qualifications:
· Valid Michigan Standard or Professional Teaching Certificate with a CTE endorsement in one of the following CIP Codes:
o Marketing, Sales and Service 52.1999
o Marketing, Sales and Services 08.0700
o Business Administration Management and Operations 52.0299
o Business, Management and Administration 52.9994
o Finance and Financial Management Services 52.0800
OR
o Be eligible for an Annual Career Authorization with a minimum of 4,000 recent and relevant hours of work experience in any of the above-related fields within the past ten (10) years.
o Valid Michigan Department of education Secondary Certificate, endorsed in Marketing Cluster according to the Office of the CTE Education Endorsements (GX, GH, GQ, GM)
· Experience coordinating and leading a DECA chapter
· Well-developed management skills, people skills and effective communication skills
· Ability to share knowledge with real-life applications
· Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high school students
· Successful experience working in collaborative groups
· Advanced ability to use technology effectively
· Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
Essential Functions:
· Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
· Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
· Learn and infuse emerging technologies into teaching, learning, and assessment
· Maintain flexibility with students, staff, and physical space in an evolving educational environment
· Work and plan cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, counselors and community members
